T. Jacob is the father of research and teaching regarding human evolution in Indonesia. His scientific work, his immense culture, his humanistic views and personal qualities made him an internationally acknowledged scientist, a very rigorous but driving mentor and teacher, an academic leader, a respected political counsellor, and overall a good friend of those who had the opportunity to accompany him.
Visiting his office, carefully conserved by the present team of the Bioanthropology and Palaeoanthropology laboratory, is therefore the opportunity to discover amazing original fossils but also to get close to T. Jacob’s personality.
