Grants and waivers will be attributed following several schemes, and progressively advertised if corresponding funds will be available.
GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GRANT AMOUNTS
An application for grant or waiver can only be sent by a participant who:
- Is already pre-registered
- Has submitted at least one communication accepted by the session or symposium convenors.
- A single participant may apply only to one scheme.
All applications must be sent to the organizing committee, who can decide to award a grant from another Grant Scheme than the one applied for.

- Curriculum vitae
- Copy of accepted abstract(s) with title of session/symposium
Grants and/or waivers will be awarded, depending on funds availability, after evaluation and decision of the conference’s Scientific Committee, after communicating with sessions’ convenors. Waivers will concern UISPP membership and/or Conference fees
- Awarded grants will contribute to one or more of the following items (i) transport to Indonesia, (ii) food/local transport package, (iii) accommodation.
Grant amounts are directly linked with the point to point distance between airport of departure (closest to city of residence) and Jakarta international airport.
- Long haul flight more than 8000 km 900 € (type A)
- Between 4000 and 8000 km 700 € (type B)
- Between 2000 and 4000 km 500 € (type C)
- Less than 2000 km 300 € (type D)
GRANT SCHEME 1 : International Union of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Sciences & International Council of Philosophy and Human Sciences
Specific criteria:
- Highest priority is given to young scientists: doctoral candidates or early stage researchers or docents with less than 5 years experience after Ph.D.).
- 10 type C or type D grants are reserved in this budget for young Indonesian scientists fulfilling the above-mentioned conditions.

GRANT SCHEME 2: Wenner Gren Foundation
Specific criterion:
- Quality of the contribution to the conference’s scientific outcomes

GRANT SCHEME 3: Institut Français d’Indonésie
Specific criteria:
- Priority is given to ASEAN countries, especially lower GDP per capita countries.
