How to Reach Salatiga

The nearest major international airport is Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta.

From Jakarta, you have several options to reach Salatiga:

Domestic flights

• to Ahmad Yani International Airport (SRG) in Semarang (one way 1050 k IDR, c. € 55)
• to Adi Soemarmo International Airport (SOC) in Solo (Surakarta) (one way 1300 k IDR, c. € 70)

or Train from Jakarta Gambir Station to Semarang Tawang Station (one way exec. Class c. 600 k IDR, c.€30)

The taxi from Soekarno Hatta airport to Gambir Station is c. 300 k IDR (c. € 17, prefer Blue Bird taxi with meter)

To purchase train ticket or to check domestic flight price (sometimes more expensive if you buy from a travel agent abroad) we suggest you to check the price (or to buy) on the application Traveloka.com.

Several free shuttles (bus or van) will be organized by the committee to Salatiga on October 26^th from:

• Semarang Tawang train station
• Semarang Achmad Yani airport
• Solo Adi Soemarmo Airport

Please inform the committee if you wish to take one, and be aware that you might have to wait some time for another arrival.

The return shuttles will be provided on November7^th. 

If you prefer (or must) come by your own means, you can either take a local taxi by yourself or ask the committee to order a driver from Salatiga drivers community who will wait for you (better rate):

• Solo airport to Salatiga 350 k IDR (c. € 20)
