Step 1: Create or Log In to Your Wise Account

  1. Go to the Wise website (https://wise.com) or download the Wise app on your phone (available for iOS and Android).
  2. Click Sign Up if you don’t have an account. Enter your email, password, and personal details to create an account.
  3. If you already have an account, log in with your email and password.

Step 2: Start a New Transfer

  1. Once logged in, click the Send Money button.
  2. Enter the amount you want to send in your currency (e.g., USD, GBP, EUR) or the amount the recipient should receive in IDR (Indonesian Rupiah).
    • Wise will display the exchange rate and fees upfront.

Step 3: Choose Transfer Type

Wise offers various transfer options depending on speed and cost:

  • Low-cost transfer (Recommended): Takes longer but costs less.
  • Fast transfer: Faster but slightly more expensive.
  • Instant transfer: Only available if paying by card and meeting eligibility.

Select the option that suits your needs.

Step 4: Add Recipient Details

  1. Select “Someone Else”.
  2. Choose Bank Transfer as the delivery method.
  3. Provide the UISPP’s bank account details:
    • Full name: CSDS UKSW
    • Email: csds@uksw.edu
    • Swiftcode: BRINIDJA
    • Bank account number: 1853 01 001816 53 9
    • Bank name: BRI.

Step 5: Review the Details

  1. Double-check all the details:
    • Amount to send and recipient’s details.
    • Estimated arrival time.
    • Exchange rate and fees.
  2. If everything looks good, click Confirm.

Step 6: Choose Payment Method

Wise allows you to pay in various ways:

  1. Bank transfer (Recommended): Send money from your local bank account to Wise’s account.
  2. Debit or credit card: Pay directly using your card for quicker transfers.
  3. Other methods: Wise may offer additional payment options depending on your country.

Follow the instructions provided for your selected payment method.

Step 7: Complete the Payment

  1. Once you’ve paid, Wise will notify you that your transfer is in progress.
  2. You can track your transfer in the Wise app or website.

Step 8: Recipient Receives the Money

  • Wise will notify both you and the recipient (if you include their email) when the transfer is complete.
  • The recipient should receive the funds in their Indonesian bank account within the estimated time.
